Yoga Poses Guideline


One of the most important of aspects for a yoga starters is to be familiarized with the categories of yoga poses based on their focus on parts of the body. It will help you construct your own sequences specially when you level advanced in your practice. Here is a list of most common yoga poses used worldwide. Be familiar with them and use them alternatively according to your style.

BACKBENDS

*These poses stretching and bending your back in positions where it will improve backbones strength and flexion.


FORWARD BENDS

*These poses are focused on strengthening the core of the body and improving flexibility


LATERAL BENDS

*These poses are great for stretching as they level the heat up of the body. it advised to warm the body before going into these poses by doing some sun salutations sequences then followed by these poses


TWISTS

*These poses are great poses for expanding flexibility of the body and increase the movement of the muscles that we usually have less pressure on them. they are great for releasing muscles tensions. Incorporate these poses with balancing poses for increasing benefits.


BALANCING

*The majority of yoga poses will focus on finding the inner pease and the harmony between the body elements and the surrounding, and this can be achieved through balancing poses. Balancing poses can go well with breathing and stretching exercises.



NEUTRAL

* These poses can be used as break in between the other poses. it gives the body the chance for restoration and relaxation throughout the sequence. Incorporate these poses during the process of starting up a sequence, cooling down in power yoga or simply in transition from style to another
