Which Water Should We Be Drinking?


have you ever wondered weather the water we are drinking is good enough to supply our bodies with all the minerals that we need?

There are two most important factors we need to consider when deciding the quality


of the water: the pH of the water and the total dissolved solids (TDS). The pH is is important because the human body has a natural pH of 7.4, so it needs this level to run efficiently. While the total dissolved solids that include minerals, salts, metals, cations or anions dissolved in water or in other words anything else dissolved in the water other than pure water.

So what the optimum pH and TDS?

According to the the World Health Organization (WHO) the pH of the water should be between 6.5 to 8.5 and the TDS 150- 350 and not more than 500 mg

What are the best water to drink?

Most bottled water come in average pH, however; they vary in TDS value. Some are below 150 mg.

Connection water are safe to drink and it is up t the standard, however; with the use of the pipes you may need to connect a filter to the faucet. It is known that connection water is not safe to drink, but the reality that depending on bottled water is not preferable.

What are the best filters?

Ceramic filters are the most suitable. They trap bacteria and impurities and they are easy to assemble and cleaning.

Try to avoid the double, triple and the reverse osmosis filters. They purify the water until it resembles distilled water which is basically used for laboratory work.
