Spirulina and the Prevention of Osteoporosis
Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that is rich in protein, vitamins such B complex vitamins, beta-carotene, vitamin E. It is also rich in minerals such as manganese, zinc, copper, iron, and selenium. Spirulina as supplement may boost the immune system, however; the results are based on animal and tube testings. So more research are required to confirm such benefits.
