If you wonder weather vitamins can induce weight gain or not, then the fact has two sides depending on the situation. When vitamins can induce weight gain amd when they are not? Fat -dissolved vitamins such vitamin D, A, group B vitamins can induce weight gain due to their effects of increasing appetite in people suffering obesity, diabetic, or in other words, hormonal imbalances. On the other hand, if we consume vitamins in a manner of helping aid to promote health without compromising your diet. What is the mechanism? The main role of vitamins in general is to work as catalyst and co-enzyme that regulate and enhance the metabolism process. For many people taking multivitamins added to their diet ignore the root cause of issue, which is the restricted an unbalanced diet they follow, or improper lifestyle from skipping meals etc. In addition, psychological factors such high stress level plays a role in weight gain. Cortisol hormone level increases causing insulin resistance. Consequently, the glucose uptake by the cells decreased ending up by storing glucose as glycogen and excess fat in the body. In conclusion, try to have a nutrient rich diet and exercise regularly, and use the vitamins just as complement but not mainly depending on and you should be fine
