Lost Your Appetite? Here is why


It is the flip side of feeling hungry all the time, you may experience the state of losing appetite. It is not because you intend to starve yourself , but you just are not hungry and do not feel to eat at all. This can be good for weight loss, however; it can be scary you’re accidentally depriving yourself of necessary nutrients on such a tiny amount of food. that is could be do to the following situations:

Ketosis:

Ketosis is a metabolic state where you body use primarily fat for the purpose of fueling your body instead of carbohydrates. Depending on high protein or fat diets and skipping carbs and fruits, you will end up accidentally taking Paleo, diet that depend on meet, nuts, and berries, and exclusion of dairy, in a ketogenic direction. And one of the best-known side effects of ketosis is loss of appetite.

Hunger as fatigue:

The other possible reason is that you are hungry; you just do not realize it. If you get tired, grumpy, cranky, or scatterbrained then all of these signs are telling you must feed yourself. It is just the signal is not coming through your stomach. So instead of waiting until you stomach start rumbling, once you feel that you can’t focus on anything? Or are you snapping at everyone around you? Maybe it’s to eat!

Serious Diseases:

Some diseases can cause loss of appetite such:

  • Certain types of cancer

  • Chronic liver or kidney diseases

  • HIV

  • Hypothyroid disorders

Medications, stress, and depression are also a possible causes for appetite loss.

What to do?!

Go for calorie-dense food: consume variety of well balanced diet consist of all nutrient group.

Go for smaller frequent meals: for example include as one of your meals a smoothie – maybe made with coconut milk and honey to pack in some fat and carbs.
