How Intense Your Workout Should Be?

One way of monitoring physical activity intensity is to determine whether your heart rate is within the target zone during physical activity. This video is explaining your physical activity intensity is determined and where it should be.

Taking Your Heart Rate:

To determine whether you are exercising within the heart rate zone, you must stop during your exercise briefly to take your pulse.

The easiest way to do it is through your wrist. Place the tip of index and middle fingers over the artery and press lightly. Do not use the thump. Take a full 60 sec count of the heartbeats, or 30 sec and multiply by 2. Start count on a beat, which is counted as "zero".
