Homemade Cough Drops


It is seasonal flu time, sore throat is a common problem facing children and adults alongside. This recipe is a quick home remedy you may prepare any time and will be beloved by your kids and you too!


*makes and 1/2 cup.

Ingredients:

1 tsp ginger root shopped finely

2 Tsp lemon juice

1/2 cup organic honey

pinch of ground cloves

powdered sugar

Method:

Prepare a baking sheet and set it aside ready for your drops then in a medium sauce pan add all of the ingredient together and let it mix up well on a low heat. Once the mixture is comes to a smooth thick sauce remove it from the heat and continue to whisk it until the foam reduces and then put it back over the heat. Dip a spoon into the mixture and then quickly dip it into the ice water. If the mixture forms a hard, crunchy ball, it's ready! If not, keep up heating and try again in a minute or so. Once a hard ball forms in the ice water, you're good to go! Pour in the baking sheets as drop instantly using spoon. when the drops cool down and become solid, powder it with the sugar and store them in a dry closed container to avoid the leftover sticking up.
