Beet and Pomegranate Sorbet Recipe


Yearning for ice cream but you all worried about the heavy cream and the calories you are putting on, sorbet may be your ultimate solution. Here is a quick recipe that refresh your soul and mind as well as nourish your body.

*makes about 12 scoops


Ingredients:

1/2 Kg beet root, simmered in a boiling distilled water

1 large pomegranate

1 peach

1 small carrot

2 mandarin

1/4 cup of sugar

for sugar syrup:

1 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of water

for garnish:

dried mint & mandarin cubes

Method:

Prepare the sugar syrup by boiling the

mixture over a medium heat until it get thicken.

Process the fruits in a juicer or food processor until it turns into puree. if it the mixture became to thick add some of the beet root water to it to get it more smooth.

once the sugar syrup is done let it cool down then pour it over the fruit puree in addition to the 1/2 cup of the sugar.

Pour the mixture in container or ice cream maker and let it shell

scope the sorbet and garnish with dries mint and mandarin cubes.
