B17 Vitamin The Possible Cure for Cancer

Apricot kernels are very nutritious. They contain various nutrients, and among these nutrients there is once called Amygdalin, which is also known as Vitamin B17. It attacks cancer cells, and can prevent the cancer from breaking out in our bodies.

Amygdalin (vitamin B17) is available in various food, but it is particularly rich in apricot kernels. Other foods include bitter almonds (Amygdalin tastes bitter- sweet almonds do not contain it), apple pips, grape seeds, miller, broad beans, most berries, pulses, and grains.

Amygdalin seems to be unique in the way that it directly attacks cancer cells. The concentrated form after extraction is known as Laetrile. Laetrile is used as the main therapy for treating cancer, but supported by other non-toxic therapies and good nutrition.

For prevention, Dr. Ernst T Krebs Jr., the biochemist who first produced laetrile in the 1950s, recommended that if the person would eat 10 to 12 apricot kernels a day for life, he is likely to be cancer free.

The kernels should be chewed, or ground and sprinkled on food or in fruit juice, and only 5 or 6 (1 1/2 teaspoons ground kernels) taken at one time/ in one hour. Please note that apricot kernels may lower blood pressure as well.

Does vitamin B17 work in the laboratory?

For 5 years, between 1972 and 1977 laetrile was tested at Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research in Manhattan under the direction of Dr. Sugiura. At the conclusion of the experiment five main results were reported:

  • Laetrile stopped metastasis ( the spreading of cancer) in mice

  • It improved their general health

  • It inhibit the growth of small tumors

  • It provided relief from pain

  • It acted as cancer prevention

Two other biochemists have obtained essentially the same positive results.

Does vitamin B17 work in real life?

For groups of people:

The Hunzas in the remote Himalayas, the Eskimos, times of South Africa and South America living on native foods. They rely upon a diet carrying as much as 250 to 3,000 mg of nitriloside (i.e. vitamin B17) in a daily ration. Among these population, there is rarely a case of cancer. Civilized or Westernized population rely on a diet that properly provide an average or less than 2 mg of nitriloside (vitamin B17) a day as a dietary group is increasingly prone to cancer.

For individuals:

Edward Griffin in his book World Without Cancer gives 8 detailed case-studies of patients who took laetrile and recovered from cancer in the 1960s and 1970s. Dr. Binzel in his book Alive and Well cites 21 cases from 1970s to 1992.

If patients started vitamin B17 and nutritional therapy when first diagnosed, and did not have chemotherapy or radiotherapy then Dr Krebs claimed a 98% success rate. The Del Rio Hospital of Tijuana claims a nearly 100% success rate with virgin cases, i.e. with those who have not had chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
