Apple Pie Recipe


The classic English recipe of apple tart with a twist to make it as tasty as nutritious too.

*makes a 8 pieces (30 cm circle tray)

Ingredients:


For the pie:

1/2 cup of white flour

1/2 cup of ground oats

1/2 cup of butter, melted at room temperature

1/4 cup of finely brown sugar

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1 egg

For the filling:

3 Tsp milk powder

3 Tsp corn starch

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp lemon zest

1 cup of water

1 can of cream (light Whipping cream, good replacement)

For topping:

1 Red apple cut into thin slices

Method:

Start with combining all the dry ingredients together then add the butter and water. Once the dough become soft enough place it in pie tray and bake it for about 10- 15 min.

To prepare the filling, in a medium sauce pan, combine all the ingredients together and add the water. Stair the mixture on a medium heat until it thicken enough. when the mixture ready stair in the cream. Pour the filling on the top of the base and top it with the sliced apple.

Bake in the oven until the slices are golden brown
